UI/UX Design & Development for an evolving non-profit

Originally created as a single program, Sarah’s Home had grown beyond its original structure. We helped establish the new brand Adagio as the parent organization, giving the nonprofit room to expand and add new programs under one unified brand. As Adagio evolved into a multi-program organization, they needed a new website that clearly communicated who they are, what they do, and where they’re headed.

Problem

The original Sarah's Home website was confusing. 'Sarah's Home' was the name of a single program, but it was being used as a parent organization to house more programs as they were being created. It was visually outdated and difficult for users to navigate.

Solution

After we developed the new Adagio parent brand, in which the programs such as Sarah's Home sits under, we designed a brand new website that made a lot more sense to the user and made it easier for the team at Adagio to update and grow into.

Value Delivered

A beautiful new website that reflected the new parent organization we created, an easy to use platform that allows the Adagio team to continue to add programs with ease, and an overall better experience for those that Adagio serve.

The Adagio website was the second phase of a larger brand project. After creating the new parent brand and its supporting identity materials, our focus shifted to the organization’s primary digital hub. As the central destination for audiences and partners to learn about Adagio and its individual programs, the website needed to clearly communicate the new organizational structure while bringing the broader brand to life.

New organization structure

A brand new beginning

The first stage of the project was creating Adagio, a new parent brand that would sit above and unify each of its programs. The key challenge for Never Settle was determining how to clearly communicate both Adagio’s overarching mission and the distinct role each program plays within the broader organization.

This wasn’t simply about creating an experience for a nonprofit. It was about helping audiences and partners understand that Adagio supports a range of programs, each serving different needs and communities, while working toward one shared goal: supporting people impacted by human trafficking and abuse.

Beautiful new brand

Reflection of a new direction

With the Adagio brand established, the website became the first real test of how the identity would translate into a digital experience. Inspired by Kintsugi—the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold—we needed to carry that idea into a UI/UX that felt distinctive and memorable without sacrificing usability.

Never Settle works with a wide range of nonprofits, but an organization made up of multiple standalone programs presented a unique challenge. The experience needed to clearly communicate Adagio’s overarching mission while giving each individual program the space to maintain its own identity and purpose within the larger organization.

Built for the future

No limitations from day one

Adagio is a fast-growing nonprofit, and while we were designing the website, a new program was already being planned. With future growth in mind, we built a flexible drag-and-drop page builder that gives the Adagio team the ability to update and expand the site as their needs evolve.

The system was designed to scale alongside the organization, removing limitations as new programs are added over time. We also provided full training and ongoing support, giving the Adagio team the confidence and resources to manage the website independently while knowing expert help is always available when needed.
